Clay County, Indiana is located in West Central Indiana at the crossroads of America. Just 55 miles
southwest of Indianapolis and 15 miles east of Terre Haute. It is situated in the heartland with the
eastern two thirds of the United States within a 24 hour truck drive.

Clay County is intersected (east and west) by Interstate 70, which spans the nation. Clay County
(population 26,760) is rural in nature with Brazil (population 8,500) the county seat.
