Roadways - Clay County, Indiana is bisected by east and west roadways of Interstate 70 and US 40. The major north/south highway in the county is State Road 59. Air -Clay County is served locally by Brazil/Clay County Airport, located south of Brazil with a 3,000 foot runway for light aircraft. This municipal airport is very accessible from both Interstate 70 and State Road 59.
Terre Haute International Airport is located just 15 miles west of Brazil at the eastern edge of Terre Haute. This airport has a 9,000 foot runway with 5,300 and 4,000 foot crosswind runways. It has ILS radar approaches with high intensity lighting. Terre Haute International has a United States Custom service available and the airport is designated as a foreign Trade Zone #239. It also has overnight air cargo service and aircraft maintenance facilities.
